Taking Classes Online

A novel coronavirus outbreak【1】broke out in Wuhan during the Spring Festival. We had to stay at home for the long holiday. The school is about to open. In order not to delay our study, the school carries out “class-stopped but still learning”【2】, having class online .

On the first day of class, I prepared my iPad, mobile phone and other school things early. Taking classes online is a new thing for me, I’m looking forward to it.

The class began at 8:30, and Miss Li’s friendly voice came from the screen. We learned the passage “When was it invented” by the PPT the teacher made carefully. Miss Li spoke very well on the screen and I enjoyed it off the screen. The teacher was also keeping interacting【3】with the students. As I wrote slowly, I couldn’t keep up with my teacher. I took screenshots【4】 with my phone first and then wrote them down in a notebook.

A few weeks passed and I learned a lot of new knowledge in Chinese, maths and English. But online classes lack the joyful atmosphere and competitive learning scene of the school. I really hope the outbreak will lift soon and to return to the beautiful campus!

上网课

    春节期间，新冠病毒疫情在武汉爆发，我们只能宅在家度过这个漫长的假期。就要开学了， 为了不耽误我们学习，学校开展“停课不停学”网上直播授课。

    上课第一天，我早早地就准备好 iPad, 手机和学习用品。网上上课，对我来说还是件新鲜 事，我格外期待。

    8:30 开始上课了，屏幕里传来李老师亲切的声音。通过老师精心制作的 PPT，我们学习了 “When was it invented?”这篇文章。李老师在屏幕里讲得有声有色，我在屏幕外听得津津有味， 老师还不停地与学生互动。由于我写字速度慢，跟不上老师的节奏，我先是用手机截屏，然后 再抄在笔记本上。

    几周过去了，我在语文、数学、英语各科都学到很多新知识，但是上网课缺少了学校那种 欢乐的学习气氛和同学们竞争的学习场面。我真希望疫情快点解除，重返美丽的校园！
